HOW WE WORK

We have a sizeable investment portfolio. Sintesa has become a stakeholder in sixteen companies. Three companies of which are publicly listed at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. The stocks of these companies are performing well and in fact have flourished after the 1998 economic turmoil. Total capitalization of these publicly listed companies has reached U$ 512 million in 2003.

The other companies in the investment portfolio are doing equally well. They are still privately owned and performing well. Total aggregated earnings before tax and interest in 2003 has reached U$ 200 million. The plan on a go-forward basis is to list the selected companies at the Jakarta Stock Exchange to gain capital in order to excel performance and take the companies to a higher level.
Again the success lies in the merger of minds, where the merger of business merely becomes legality. The prime mover is the understanding of the partners and each of the executive boards of the companies in pursuing a common goal.

Good Corporate Governance

Lately in Indonesia Good Corporate Governance has become a ‘buzz’ word in the business and social environment. At Sintesa this foundation of trust among partners has been continuously cultivated. Without Good Corporate Governance, Sintesa would have never gained the trust of its international partners.

The Executives

Success is the result of Executives who are in charge of each designated company. Sintesa is proud to have been able to be associated with top-notch international executives as well as local executives. It is remarkable to see the symbiosis of the international and local executives working side by side in the result they bring to the companies.
